Our guest house in Weligama, consists of: fifteen private rooms with cozy double beds, and one dorm room with two brand new bunk beds (sleeping a total of four people).
Each room has large doors opening onto an attached terrace or balcony where you can sit and relax, chat with your neighbors, or just take in the lush garden.
Are you looking for a more private Tribe experience? Go for our Deluxe Double Room. They offer more space to make you and your travel partner feel right at home. Spend some quality time with your travel partner – or with yourself. Even your terrace will be a bit more secluded.

Short answer: Any time!
Slightly longer answer: The main tourist season for Sri Lanka’s South Coast starts in October and lasts until April. By that time, Sri Lanka’s East Coast moves into high season. So, you can either go visit that part of our lovely island, or you can choose the empty beaches and quieter vibe in the South. Off season usually only means a few showers during the day and it gets a little windier. It’s not going to be a full-blown-washing-away-the-town-monsoon-season, so there’s definitely things to do and places to explore during that time too.
We definitely can! Just let us know when you would like to book an airport transfer, and we’ll make it happen.
One of our trusted drivers will pick you up at the arrival terminal, holding a sign with your name on it. It’ll take you about 2 hours to drive down South to out Ocean Tribe Surf Camp & Yoga Retreat. One way costs 75 EUR and there’s space for 2 people + luggage. Let us know if you’re bringing larger things (like surfboards or your own little elephant), usually we can arrange for anything to get to us.
Yes, indeed! All of our room rate include breakfast (meal only). We serve the breakfast in our café from 8 am to 11:30am, so you’ll never go hungry or thirsty as long as you’re with us. Are you looking for an extra carefree package? Check out our Surf & Yoga Packages, they include breakfast and a few dinners.
Yes, we accept card payments (Visa & MasterCard). However, this comes with a small banking fee. There is also an ATM just 5 minutes away from us, so cash is always an option.
The Deluxe Double Rooms have more space, i. e. the floor area is bigger (you know, for the little elephant you might want to bring), and they have a slightly different layout. Also, their terraces’s are more shielded. So if you are looking for a bit more privacy, the Deluxe Double room could be the right choice for you. Or if you are a little mermaid, ask us for one of our rooms with direct pool entrance.
We do check-in at 2.30 pm and check-out at 11 am. Are you arriving very late or very early? Let us know, so we can arrange for you to be welcomed to the Tribe properly.
